As part of the requirement for your Federal Skilled Workers application, you would need to show proof that you can afford to live in Canada on your own for the first six months of your stay in Canada. That is why you would have to provide proof that you have the money to bring in Canada.
This is probably one of the biggest problems that an applicant for Canada usually has.
